Travel Guide

If you want to jet set off to mingle with the rich and famous, then Marbella is the place to go. Set with stunning mountain scenery, it has wonderful beaches, exclusive shops and much, much more to offer.

You don't need to have won the lottery to take a holiday here; there is something for everyone's pocket.

Marbella is a popular resort which boasts enticingly good weather and a mild climate all year round. It has many wonderful beaches with pure white sands, particularly El Fuerte and El Fontanilla, which are very popular and have plenty of facilities, as you would expect from such a modern resort.

The palm tree lined promenade takes you on a nice walk along the resort and into the marina where you will find some glitzy yachts owned by some of the millionaire's that frequent Marbella. Fresh fish is caught daily so if you visit one of the Marina's fish restaurants, you will no doubt be served the catch of the day.

Heading off into the old town, you will be delighted at the array of traditional architecture, side by side with some modern buildings. The narrow streets have managed to keep their charming atmosphere, particularly around Orange Square, very aptly named because of its citrus fruit trees, which leads into many more small pathways and alleys along the back streets. You will find a good selection of shops selling designer labels, leather shops where you can try to find a bargain, shoe shops, perfumeries, jewellery shops and hand crafted potteries.

In the town centre there is a pleasant park, set in calm and peaceful gardens where it will be nice for you to sit and relax, letting time pass by at a slow pace as you ponder and deliberate. You will see some water features here and statues: there are plenty of benches for you to enjoy the surroundings.

Of course, Marbella is famous for its nightlife. It has a variety and choice to suit all tastes and pockets.

You can find the most modern, hyper busy clubs with dance music hosted by guest DJ's, or you can enjoy something a little more sedate by way of a Spanish tapas bar. There are many good restaurants serving something typically Spanish or something simple like fish and chips, or Paella. You will be spoilt for choice!

A visit to the Costa Del Sol would not be complete without a visit to Marbella, take your autograph book because you never know which celebrity you might bump into.
